Judy Roceal is the youngest child of Leonard and Ruby Harris. Judy was born on
September 6, 1942 in Stockton, California.
Leonard was pastoring a church in Redding California and Ruby had Modell and Sonny in school in Santa Ana.  One Sunday when Ruby was on her way to Redding to take the kids to hear their daddy preach, she went into labor as they were traveling through Stockton, she pulled over at a park,  the park just happen to be next to a Catholic Hospital.  Modell and Sonny took her to the emergency room and checked her in.  Ruby hadn't been to a doctor during this pregnancy, when the Sister Superior told her she wasn't going to have a baby that she had a tumor instead, Ruby insisted she was going to have a baby.  Ruby couldn't wait to let the Sister Superior know that she gave birth to a 9 lb tumor.  Ruby wanted to name the baby Julia after her really nice nurse, Modell did not like the name.  Leonard suggested Judith, Modell thought that sounded too old.....they all compromised and name the baby Judy.....heaven only knows where Roceal came from.
Judy started her school years in Bakersfield, California and attended many schools due to her dad being a preacher and moving around.
When she was 16 years old, Judy married a handsome Marine named Thomas (Jack) Edward Rodgers in Shafter, California on November 26, 1958.  Will Rodgers, Jack's father, let them used his brand new Ford Edsel to take on their honeymoon.

After Jack and Judy married, they moved to Camp Pendleton main side where married Marines lived.  Judy attended Oceanside High School her Jr year.  The summer between her Jr and Sr year of High School, Judy moved back to her parents in Bakersfield because she had a baby on the way.  Judy graduated from Bakersfield Adult Evening High mid-term.  Lana Doreen was born November 12, 1959.  In June 1960, Jack held 7 month old Lana and both watched Judy march down the aisle to receive her diploma.  Judy always said, "That was one of the happiest days of her life."

Jack then learned he was schedule to deploy to Okinawa for a year and just before leaving Judy discovered she was in the family way again.  Lawana Joleen "Jo" was born April 6, 1961.  Since Jack was oversees, Sister-n-Law, Charlene, got to wear the button "Its a Girl".  She was at Judy's side all through the delivery.  Once Jack arrived back to the States, the little family moved to Lawana Housing at the Santa Ana Air Facility Base where Jack was stationed.  After a couple years Jack was scheduled to ship back oversees for 6 more years and was sent immediately.  Jack & Judy divorced in 1964.

In 1965, Judy & the girls moved with Granny and Papa Harris to Enid Oklahoma where Judy attended Beauty School.  She lived in Enid about 2 years.  Granny & Papa Harris purchased 80 acres across from Sonny & Charlene's property in Stuart Oklahoma and the move was on again.  Judy bought a mobile home for her and the girls and parked it near Granny & Papa Harris' house.  Later Granny & Papa Harris bought a house and several lots in McAlester Oklahoma and the move was on again.  Judy moved her mobile home next door to Granny & Papa Harris' house and worked at Hunts Beauty Shop.  Judy had the opportunity to lease the beauty shop and did so and became sole owner for about 5 years.  Realize she needed a job with benefits and a future, she sold the beauty shop and went to work for Southwestern Bell.  She raised Lana and Jo with help from Granny and Papa Harris.  Judy was never afraid of leaving the girls in their care because she knew they would be taken care of and be in church.

After Lana and Jo married and left home, Judy continued working for the telephone company, now A.T.&T in Dallas, Tulsa, and Kansas City.   Upon retirement, she moved back to McAlester.  By this time Papa Harris had passed away and Granny Harris was facing kidney surgery.  Sonny too had passed and Modell & Jack was pastoring the church.  Modell needed help caring for Granny Harris.

While working various jobs like Dennys, Walmart, and several convenience stores, Judy has seen Jack, Modell, along with Granny Harris go to meet Jesus.

Judy frequently attends the little church Papa Harris, Sonny, Modell & Jack pastored; Calvary Pentecostal Church of God.  Judy is currently a limo driver with Renzenberger, Inc. Its a limo company who contacts to Union Pacific RailRoad to transport train personnel.

Judy's life is  all about enjoying family, playing piano, Sudoko, Words with Friends and reading the Bible.
